Effect of leuprorelin plus growth hormone on serum luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, and estradiol levels in children with idiopathic central precocious puberty

Purpose: To evaluate the effects of leuprorelin plus growth hormone on serum luteinizing (LH), follicle-stimulating (FSH), and estradiol (E2) levels in children with idiopathic central precocious puberty. Methods: A total 102 girls puberty who met inclusion criteria between April 2020 September 2021 were enrolled this study, assigned randomly to either a control group given only, or combined treatment hormone. There 51 cases each group. The parameters/indices evaluated include sex (serum LH, FSH, E2), height standard deviation scores (HtSDS), predicted adult (PAH), insulin-like factors-1 (IGH-1). Results: Patients administered therapy showed lower E2 than those mono-therapy (p < 0.05). Leuprorelin resulted significantly higher HtSDS PAH, IGF-1 compared received Conclusion: combination effectively reduces puberty, improves their linear rate height.
